This policy explains what personal data GSynq Digital Studio Pvt. Ltd. (“GSynq”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, why we collect it, how we look after it and what rights you have. We have kept it in plain language and specific to how this website actually works.
Who we are
GSynq Digital Studio Pvt. Ltd. is a digital marketing studio incorporated in India, with its studio in Kharadi, Pune, Maharashtra. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.
What this policy covers
It covers personal data collected through this website, including the enquiry forms and the job application form, and through the emails and calls that follow from them. When we work with you as a client, the proposal or agreement we sign may add terms for data we handle on your behalf; where it does, those terms apply alongside this policy.
The information we collect
We collect only what we need. You can browse the whole website without telling us who you are.
When you send us an enquiry
Our enquiry forms ask for:
- your name and email address (required);
- your phone number and company name (optional);
- the services you are interested in and your message;
- your consent to be contacted, with the date and time you gave it.
We also record the page you sent the form from and, if you reached us through one of our campaign links, the campaign tags in that link (such as utm_source). This tells us which pages and campaigns bring enquiries.
When you apply for a job
The application form asks for the role you are interested in, your name, email address, phone number and resume (PDF, DOC or DOCX), and your consent. You can also share your city, experience, current company, a portfolio or LinkedIn link and a short note.
To protect our forms from spam
Each form submission stores a one-way, salted hash of your IP address, which we use to limit how many forms can be sent from the same connection in an hour. We never store the IP address itself, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.
When you browse the website
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Like every website, the servers of our hosting provider keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the service secure and running. Our Cookie Policy explains the small amount of browser storage the website uses.
When you email, call or message us
If you contact us directly, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, phone number and the content of your message.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss how we can help.
- To prepare proposals and, if you become a client, to deliver and manage our services.
- To assess job applications and contact candidates about roles.
- To protect the website and our forms from spam, abuse and security threats.
- To understand which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries, so we can improve the website.
- To meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making. We send marketing emails, such as newsletters, only if you have separately agreed to receive them, and every one of them lets you unsubscribe.
Why we are allowed to use it
We process personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box on our forms, or for the legitimate uses the DPDP Act allows, such as when you share information with us voluntarily for a specific purpose, or when the law requires us to process it. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your rights” below). Withdrawing it does not affect processing that has already taken place.
Who we share it with
Inside GSynq, enquiries are seen only by the team members who handle new business, and job applications only by the administrators who handle hiring. Outside GSynq, we share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and on our instructions:
- Hostinger, which hosts this website and its database;
- the email and business software we use to correspond with you and keep our working files;
- professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, when we need their help.
We may also disclose personal data when the law requires it, for example to a court, regulator or law-enforcement authority, or to protect our legal rights. If GSynq is ever part of a merger or acquisition, personal data may pass to the new owner under the same protections.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last conversation, or for as long as you are a client and the law requires after that.
- Job applications and resumes: up to 12 months, so we can consider you for other suitable roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Spam-protection counters: one hour. The hashed IP saved with a submission is kept only as long as the submission itself.
- Contracts and accounting records: as long as Indian tax and company law requires.
When we no longer need personal data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
The website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Enquiries and applications are stored as private records that only signed-in administrators can open. Resumes sit in a protected folder that cannot be reached from the web, under random file names, and only an administrator can download them. We keep our software up to date and give access only to the people who need it.
No system is completely secure, but we follow reasonable security practices as Indian law requires. If a personal data breach happens, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India where the law requires us to.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act and other applicable law, you have the right to:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete or update data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to erase your data once it is no longer needed for the purpose you shared it for, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity;
- raise a grievance with us and, if our response does not resolve it, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, contact us through our Contact page. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within the time the law allows.
Children
This website and our services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.
Cookies
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The Contact page shows an embedded Google Map, which Google provides under its own privacy policy. Our Cookie Policy has the details.
Links to other websites
The website links to other websites and to our social media profiles. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, so please read their policies before you share information with them.
Data stored outside India
Some of our service providers may store or process data on servers outside India. When that happens, we use providers that protect it to a standard comparable to this policy, and we follow any restrictions the Government of India places on such transfers.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the way we handle personal data changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the website.
